The working relationship between Link CCTV Systems and Chelmsford City Council continues to thrive, with the former completing another security system upgrade for the Purple Flagged city.
This latest work, completed in March, involved the installation of multiple new CCTV cameras in the city centre and surroundings areas, including in central park, the skate park and train station. These areas were identified for the requirement of additional CCTV cameras by the Local Council and Crime Prevention team.
The technical side of this project involved not only installing new cameras but erecting a new column (with groundworks carried out to dig a trench) and wireless links being mounted or re-positioned around the city, improving the council’s coverage of the city. This new coverage is beamed back to the impressive control room, which is monitored 24 hours a day, and was installed by Link back in 2020.
The Link Projects Team once again displayed a high quality of work and completed the project on time. The team showed their versatility during this latest project, working on the high street at night due to its busyness throughout the day.
