Given the activities to which Link CCTV are committed, our obligations to the reduction of the spread of coronavirus is absolute.
From the outset, government advice has been heeded and a comprehensive risk assessment was undertaken to accommodate our activities throughout the business. The outcomes have been delivered to all staff by means of a Toolbox Talk and the entire field-based operations team have undergone RoSPA-approved Coronavirus awareness training.
Notwithstanding the issuance of appropriate PPE and hand sanitisers, our install and service teams are routinely subjected to discreet surveillance audits to ensure compliance.
Such is Link’s confidence in these systems, we were pleased to entertain an unannounced office inspection of our premises in Stevenage by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) last week. The inspection involved scrutiny of our offices, our contingency planning, our response to on-site initiatives regarding the pandemic and the welfare of our staff. At the conclusion of the visit, we were delighted to have satisfied the HSE in every aspect of their check. Such was the extent of our compliance, we have been invited to assist in future participation and engagement with the HSE in such matters – which we are very pleased to do.
Achieving “full marks” is testament to how seriously we have taken the Government advice and guidelines. The safety of our employees as well as our clients has always been a priority throughout the pandemic and we’re delighted that our efforts to ensure their wellbeing have been commended by the HSE.
