The Link CCTV Systems’ Project Team have been busy over the past few weeks, working on an important project in Chelmsford, Essex.
The installation involved sixteen new cameras across the Chelmer Valley nature reserve, all wirelessly transmitted back to the Chelmsford City Council control room to provide live monitoring. Fifteen additional cameras were cited across the city into vulnerable locations such as around the university, prison and within the surrounding parks and footpaths. Every solution is wireless and as part of the project, Link introduced a total of sixteen WEC CCTV columns.
This work is critical for the Bunny Walk area of Chelmer Valley, which is notorious for its troublesome history of sexual assaults and violence. This led to government funding from the from the Home Office’s Safer Streets Fund to improve the security around the area and other parts of Chelmsford. Link CCTV Systems were chosen to carry out this important work, having had a strong relationship with Chelmsford City Council over the past 25 years.
Keep an eye out for further updates.
